Day by day our lives are growing right between our fingers. From the looks of things our lives can go faster than we all plan, earth is our home short essay. Our surroundings and life styles are leading us to global warming, animal extinction, and many universal problems.
We need to all pull together and save our earth. Recycling and carpooling are just a start of how we earth is our home short essay improve our home on earth. I remember a time when I was eight seeing freshly cut green grass, kids playing and riding their bikes. Slowly I start racing down the street, with nothing but clean air running through my nose and exhaling out of my mouth.
The smell of trees and newly planted flowers is going through my nostrils like those little annoying bugs that fly in your nose. Raising my arms to extend the speed of my pace, all I can feel is the tree branches, and leaves at the top of my head lifting as I skate by. Being able to see nothing but endless green, blooming flowers and growing trees was amazing.
Now at the age of twenty-two I dread to even go outside. I walk outside now to just check the mail and all I see is dry branches and empty buildings with foreclosure and now leasing signs. Seeing this entire landscape puts me in a depressing state of mind of unwillingness to step outside. I remember a time seeing a huge blue recycling box at the end of every house that would be put out and picked up once a week.
It was over filled with cardboard, newspapers and many other recyclable items. I do as much as possible to help improve our environment. I wash my laundry in cold water after six p.
I hang my clothing outside, rather than using my dryer. I take one big trip out of the week instead of using gasoline all week long. Since I work in the same place as family and friends, its convent to carpool. We reuse milk cartons for water jugs and small items around our home and outside.
We should all make a bigger effort in trying to save the one earth we have. We can all make changes with simple things around us. Replacing items like electric appliances can be a start. Bring reusable totes with you every time you go shopping, push mowers instead of using electric lawn mowers.
Car pool any place you go, or ride a bike. Wash items in cold water and hang clothing outside instead of using your dryer. We can all afford to bend a little and put it to use on saving are earth. We all deserve to have a good environment; all we have to do is start on the earth and make our way up to a better universe.
